The deadline for the PM YASASVI Scholarship Test 2024 has been extended to August 17, 2024, by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) web portal.

To register for the PM YASASVI Scholarship Test 2024, candidates must log in to the official portal. Through YET 2024, students enrolled in Class 9th and Class 11th in designated schools under the YASASVI Scheme will be considered for the scholarship.

YASASVI Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the YASASVI scholarship exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be Indian Nationals.
  • They must belong to the OBC, EBC, or DNT category.
  • They should be enrolled in recognized Top Class Schools.
  • Candidates must have passed either Class 8 or Class 10 in the academic year 2024-23.
  • The combined annual income of the parents/guardians should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
  • Candidates applying for the Class 9 exam should have a birth date between April 1, 2006, and March 31, 2010 (inclusive).
  • Candidates applying for the Class 11 exam should have a birth date between April 1, 2004, and March 31, 2008 (inclusive).
  • Both male and female students are eligible to apply, with the same eligibility criteria for both genders.

Scholarship Awards

The scholarships are awarded at two levels:

  1. For students in Class IX.
  2. For students in Class XI.

Cancellation of YASASVI Entrance Test 2024

Initially, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment had tasked the National Testing Agency (NTA) with conducting the YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) 2024 for selecting candidates from OBC, EBC, and DNT categories studying in Class IX and Class XI. However, the Ministry has now decided to cancel the entrance test for this year.

Instead, selection will be based on merit, considering the marks obtained in Class VIII and X, as applicable, following the scheme guidelines. Candidates achieving 60% or above in these classes are eligible to apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The YET-2024, previously scheduled for September 29, 2024, has been officially cancelled.

YASASVI Entrance Test 2024

The YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) is a computer-based exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the PM YASASVI Scholarship 2024. It evaluates the academic potential of students belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi Nomadic Tribes (DNT/SNT) categories.

YASASVI Entrance Exam Pattern 2024

The YET exam will be three hours long and will be conducted in computer based test (CBT) mode. It will be an objective type comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). It will be held in 78 cities across India, and the question paper will be available in Hindi and English.

To begin the application process, visit the official website of the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India Entrance Test at using your device’s browser. Upon reaching the site, locate and click on the registration link available on the homepage.

Upon clicking the link, you will be directed to the Registration webpage. Here, fill in your basic details and make a note of the system-generated Application Number. Register using your Name, Email, and date of birth, and log in using the credentials generated.

Candidates can log in using the system-generated Application Number and Password to complete the Application Form. This includes providing personal details, selecting the specific Class-Exam, choosing Examination Cities, etc. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and certificates in the prescribed format and size.

After completing the application, download, save, and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form for future reference.
