TS SET 2024, or Telangana State Eligibility Test, is conducted by TSCHE to assess candidates’ eligibility for assistant professor roles in Telangana’s universities and colleges. Eligible applicants must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Those awaiting final year results can also apply.
The Telangana SET comprises Paper I and Paper II. Paper I covers general awareness, teaching, and research aptitude with multiple-choice questions. Paper II focuses on the chosen subject with 150 objective questions to be answered within two hours. Qualifying candidates become eligible for assistant professor roles in Telangana’s institutions. TSCHE releases a merit list based on TSET scores for appointments. Telangana SET 2024 exclusively caters to Telangana candidates aiming for Assistant Professor/Lecturer roles in state universities and colleges. Administered by Osmania University, it’s conducted in Telugu as well. Post-bifurcation, Osmania University secured approval from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments to conduct SET 2014. UGC recommended a combined result for both states with unified cut off marks, following the precedent set in 2013. Certificates will reflect the common nature of the exam for both states.
Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS SET) 2024
Exciting news for aspirants! Osmania University will release the State Eligibility Test Notification in March 2024 for recruitment as Assistant Professors/Lecturers in various universities, degree colleges, and institutions in Telangana. TS SET 2024, conducted by OU, adheres to UGC Regulations for recruitment and promotions in Degree Colleges. Candidates of any age can apply with unlimited attempts. SET TS 2024 will be conducted in 27 subjects as per the schedule set by Osmania University.
TS SET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree from a UGC recognized university with at least 55% marks for General candidates and 50% for BC/SC/ST/PH/VH. Those in their final year of Post Graduate studies are eligible. Conditions include pursuing or completing PG studies in related subjects, securing 55% marks (or 50% for BC/SC/ST/PH/VH), and awaiting results. Ph.D. holders up to September 19, 1991, with 55% marks (or 50% for reserved categories) are eligible. Applicants must appear for SET in their PG subject. Successful candidates qualify for Asst. Professor/Lecturer positions in Telangana’s universities and colleges. Candidates must self-declare their social status (BC/SC/ST/VH). Their eligibility will be verified post-qualification. No mark sheets are issued, and no revaluations are permitted. Certificates are awarded based on thorough verification. There’s no upper age limit, and candidates can attempt the exam multiple times.
TS SET Exam Pattern
Telangana State Eligibility Test 2024 will be in objective mode, comprising 2 papers. Each paper, held on the same day in separate sessions, features multiple-choice questions.
For TS SET 2024, Paper-I’s question paper is uniform across all subjects and is bilingual. Paper-II and Paper-III for certain subjects will also be bilingual, with details forthcoming.
TS TET Online Application Deadline
Osmania University has updated the TS SET 2024 application schedule. The new deadline for online submissions without a late fee is July 2, 2024.
TS SET Registration Fee
Candidates eligible for TS SET 2024 can apply online. The registration fee is Rs 1000/- for General Category, Rs 800/- for B.C. category, and Rs. 500/– for SC/ST/PH/VH category. Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Revised Registration Fee
Rs 1200/- for General Category, Rs 1000/- for B.C. category, and Rs. 700/– for SC/ST/PH/VH category.

For certificate verification, candidates must bring the following original documents
- SSC/Equivalent certificate for Date of Birth
- PG Pass certificate (Provisional/Original Degree Certificate)

- Physically Handicapped Certificate (for PWD Candidates)
